In a word, tasty. Very nice selection of bagels... likely any topping or baked in flavor your tastebuds could ever desire... from plain to "everything" (which was just packed) and even bahn mi flavor.Place has a funky industrial decor, with a garage door front window (open on nice days)Good staff... friendly.Lots of "sandwich" menu items... from cream cheese to "the heart attack." (Dig in, its just a very hearty breakfast). They have lunch items, and of course, coffee.Time it right and you get to watch the bagel machine in action behind the glass frames. Sort of a Rube Goldberg machine.

Great place for a quick breakfast bagel with loads of hot sauce!

Don't get me wrong these are amazing bagels but the staff lately has been so slow that I can't go here for lunch. Took 25 minutes to get a bagel with cream cheese! There were several people on staff but just one female was making everything while several of the other employees just stood around. Seemed like she was flustered as sh worked very hard. It was awkward. Not a lunch break at work spot.

Known for great food, no doubt as good as the Oak Harbor location, but if you have a ADA concerns steer clear. All the seating is bar height tables and high bar stools. Business looked brisk so excluding disabled folks is probably no concern.

These bagels are on another level. They are just so, so good and put any other bagel I've had to shame. I don't come to the island without grabbing at least a few.

We stopped here on a recommendation from a friend and it was WELL worth it. The prices are fair and the bagels live up to the hype. The coffee was really good too--dare I say "the best" on my whole Seattle/PNW trip?! The owner provided some helpful insight to places to visit while in the Seattle area. The shop is clean and neat decor. Worth your while to stop by and grab a bagel or five!

This place is Whidbey's not so hidden gem! The store, the staff, what they stand for, the amazing food they put out into the community, it's worth everything! Thank you! Get their lox bagel with whatever bagel you like, you won't regret it!

We hoped on a Ferry to come get a Bagel, they are that good!!

Outstanding Bagels. Efficient run shop. Relatively busy and I was served in no time even though they were operating with two people short. In addition to about every Bagel made they had my favorite, which for me is getting increasingly hard to find, pumpernickel

Delicious fresh bagels, a whole bunch of flavors and lots of different flavored cream cheese to put on them. We also had a "hand pie" with strawberry peach filling which was also delicious. There is a big bagel-making machine over on the side of the room in the seating area but didn't get to see it in action, unfortunately. Well worth a stop if you're on Whidbey Island.

The. Best. Bagels. In Washington State. My in-laws live in Langley and I try to make a stop here every chance I can! I prefer their savory bagels toasted with plain cream cheese but the sandwiches are great, too. Bonus, the have LaCroix cold in a can as a drink option.

The bagels here and the bagel sandwiches are excellent. When John opened a second location in Oak Harbor, quality of the sandwiches and customer service took a nose dive. My wife mentioned that she had found a hair in her sandwich, and the server immediatley went defensive first saying there was no hair, then accusing my wife of putting it in the sandwich.They finally remade the sandwich, but we felt uncomfortable in the store and took our sandwiches home. We have not been back.This wasn't our first customer service issue with The Bagel Factory, but it was the most humiliating. I'm not sure what the root cause is, but our issues tended to happen when the place was really busy, and the owner is not there.We may try again when the store is less crowded

From an east coast perspective, these are the best bagels you can find "in Seattle."

Great staff, food and service. They do have a huge collection of bagels but they seem to run out on most of them by mid day. Not a lot of choices on the cream cheese though.Highly recommend their pesto bagel.

Absolutely worth the stop! Had the rosemary with Mark's garden spread & the snickerdoodle with the cranberry orange spread -- both were fantastic. The bagels were the best I've had in the state & the spreads were also homemade and delicious.

Bagels, bagels, bagels!! , unimaginable flavor!! original and creative design restaurant. Small and conformable, fast service. Don't forget to visit the restroom. you will surprise the details design! I love my sandwich bagel with smoke salmon!! ❤️

The best bagels we have ever had! Loved the smoked salmon and the garden cream cheese! The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Definitely will stop there again the next time we are on the island.

Perfect. They were incredibly patient with us as my wife always orders the most complicated coffee ever but the employees were amazing about it. The wait was a little longer than I expected for coffee and bagels, but the coffee itself was easily one of the best coffees I have ever had. The bagels were phenomenal as well.

This place is great. It smells delicious, the bagels are incredibly good, and the staff friendly. Plus it's way larger than the oak harbor store. I will definitely be back.

Good bagels and I found the lox one to be delicious. It had great balance between lox, onion and capers. Be aware that they stop making bagels 30 minutes before closing, my friends came in a bit after me and they couldn't get the lox anymore.

Very respectful people! The owner is very down to earth and Gave is a free bagel first time there. Showed us a map with tons of places to adventure off to.

The bagels are fresh and soft. The garlic was very noticeable in the garlic parmesan bagel I had. Very good.

Went there for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the all over the board quality from the establishment to the service and of coursethe food. Was helped by a gentleman named Casey I believe and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Food was prompt and exactly as I ordered. Will be returning and spreading the word.

If you are on the Island, stop and check them out. Great food, Great atmosphere! They have a few tables inside. Soup and Bagel sandwich was perfect.

If you come early to Whidbey Island this would be a perfect stop for your breakfast before you explore the rest of the island.

This is the best bagel shop I know. Fresh daily, but you want to come early if your mind is set on a certain kind. Breakfast is delicious and I just tried a strawberry rhubarb pie. Yum!

Small, cozy shop. Bagels made in house. The owner did a phenomenal job finishing the inside. The bagels here are delicious. Not too chewy, not too doughy. About 2 dozen different bagels, and almost as many different cream cheeses. Other breakfast options as well. I come here as often as I can.

I am a regular. Top notch. The owner rides which is a plus in my book. Great mom and pop feel.

What a great spot. Owner is super nice and he has a variety of different choices for flavor. Just a tad different from your usual shop. Sandwiches are all tasty looking with our try being the turkey bacon and chicken lime jalepeño (apparently one of their best sellers) happy bagels!

Can't talk this place up enough!! The bagels are so soft, so flavorful. This place has got it all! The interior has got a great vibe going. Great place to come to with friends and family. Get a dozen bagels to go, you're gonna want some for later!

I love to stop at this place for a sandwich on a bagel. They make their bagels daily, and if you are lucky you will even get to watch the machine in action. They have a wide variety of flavors for all kinds of tastes from chocolate chip, to pesto garlic, to sea salt or plain. The variety of flavors is insane. Lucky for me bah mi flavor (my favorite for a sandwich) is almost always in stock. Get there early! They close I think at 3pm. Not sure what time they stop making the bagels but in the afternoon you are limited on selection. They can even make you an espresso if you need a bit of caffeine. To me it is the best food place on the south end for a quick bite. I highly recommend this place, you wont be disappointed by the bagels or the fresh veggies if you choose a sandwich.

Whidbey Island Bagel Factory is one of my favorites, everything is fresh and has that taste to go with it. My recommendation is really any bagel toasted with butter or cream cheese.The only downside -the costs..... Prices have gone sky high since it was bought out. I love the improvements but I'm not there for that. The old owner Larry sold out often and while I understand everything changes this place has almost driven out the locals. My family members and their families can't afford to visit here anymore. So I buy when we eat here. I could see this place in Seattle where higher prices are normal. But here on Whidbey where folks make considerably less it's tough to swallow.

Love the bagels here, they are probably the best I've had since moving to the west coast. Really good variety if sweet and savory bagels and cream cheeses - then rosemary and black olive bagel with garlic & herb cream cheese is by far my favorite and something I would never have tried otherwise. The owner and staff are super friendly.

The place has great bagels and bagel sandwiches but if you’re gonna change your hours, I would do ASAP on all type of social media’s. Because it says open 7-3 on google but when I called y’all said you were closed, and had an attitude about it. It’s not my fault y’all ain’t on top of changing your hours on every platform.

Great staff, great experience. We enjoyed watching the bagel machine! The staff drew a map of the island on the back of a napkin and told us all about the local gems!!! I had a bagel egg sandwich.
